Thomas has been an advocate of alternative transportation for many years – from riding his bike 20 miles round-trip through rural Missouri to visit the local pool in middle school (uphill both ways, of course) to opting to go car-free as a Freshman at Colorado School of Mines. He is currently an energy industry data scientist at Navigant Consulting in Boulder where he helps utility clients understand their energy efficiency and consumption. Thomas holds degrees in engineering physics and electrical engineering from CSM and previously worked in the oil fields of remote, northern Alaska for BP. He has been a member of eGo CarShare since moving to Boulder in 2013 and joined the board of directors in early 2016. Outside of work, you can find Thomas climbing rocks, running trails, and volunteering his time with boards and civic groups involved in various facets of the energy-transportation-housing-social justice nexus.
