Peter is a sustainability, business development and communications leader with decades of experience guiding and supporting the private sector, government and nonprofits. As Co-founder and former President of Sustainable Travel International (STI), he helped develop and grow a start-up organization into a global industry leader with outreach in the millions. This includes developing several multi-industry firsts as one of the world’s leading experts in integrated bottom line standards and carbon management solutions, as well as leading sustainability solutions in travel and tourism. He has implemented and continues to advise regarding best practices solutions for small to global companies, communities and governments. After living and working abroad, Peter returned to Colorado, where he has been helping non-profits in the sustainability field with strategic partnerships, development and consulting. As CEO of Colorado CarShare, he utilizes these leadership skills in the emerging field of multi-modal, sustainable and socially equitable mobility, in order to position the organization to succeed in a highly competitive market. In his past life Peter worked in the adventure travel industry in all aspects of operations, sales, business and product development. His leadership experience extends to working on international community development and conservation projects, being a published author related to sustainability topics and travel, and as a recognized industry and public speaker.
