David Lieb arrived in Boulder in October 2012 to serve as the director of parking and transportation services at the University of Colorado Boulder. He came here from Ithaca, New York, where he spent 23 years working for Cornell University, most recently as associate director of transportation services. He received his bachelor’s degree in English from Cornell in 1989 and a master’s in Community Development in 2006. He has spent his career focusing on developing, promoting, and operating transportation demand management programs to reduce dependence on single-occupancy vehicles. During his time in Ithaca, David served on the board of directors for the regional public transit agency, Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit (TCAT). He is a founder and the founding board president of Ithaca CarShare, Inc., and thanks to the magic of Skype, he is still privileged to sit on that board. He is excited to be involved locally with eGo CarShare, which was one of the key organizations that helped shape and inspire the development and launch of Ithaca CarShare five years ago. David joined the eGo CarShare Board in March 2013 and was elected Vice President in September.
