Refueling 101

While eGo takes care of paying for the gas, members are relied on to actually re-fill our shared vehicles. Ther following is a quick "how-to" on when and how to keep our cars full, happy and our program running smooth.

• You are required to refuel whenever the gas gauge is at or below ¼ full (that’s ~2 “bars” of gas in the Priuses). Use the Conoco gas card found in the glove compartment of each car. There is a map of all the local Conoco stations in the glove compartment as well. Note that the Conoco card is only valid at Conoco, Phillips 66, and 76 stations.
• If you return an eGo CarShare vehicle with less than ¼ tank, you will be charged a $25 Low Gas Fee.
• After you swipe the Conoco card at the pump you will be prompted to “Enter Driver ID.” Note this is NOT your member ID #, but rather a unique 6 digit PIN number associated with that particular card. If you do not know where to find the PIN number, contact us.
• You will also need to enter the current odometer reading, so please take note of what it is before you get out to refuel.
• Leave the receipt in the glove compartment pouch where you found the card.
• If a vehicle has less than a ¼ tank of gas at the beginning of your reservation please indicate this on the receipt. In such cases you will usually receive an additional $5 Inconvenience Credit.
• If the gas card is missing, or does not work, it is still your responsibility to refuel the car. In such cases, use your personal funds to refuel and submit the receipt to us for a full reimbursement.
