New Location! Denver REI Flagship Store

If convenience and adventure are what you're after, then look no further than the Denver REI Flagship Store in the Central Platte Valley. REI and eGo CarShare have partnered to bring another sustainable transportation option to their downtown location, transit-oriented carshare. REI has donated a parking space in their western lot to house an AWD excursion vehicle for eGo CarShare members. This vehicle is equipped with Rocky Mounts ski or bike racks, depending on the season, and ready for a great day in the Colorado outdoors.

"We are thrilled to be working with REI and their unwavering commitment to the community and environment", explains eGo CarShare Board President Graham Hill. This location allows for members and prospective members to access a car that is ready for their recreation demands and gives carshare access to residents and businesses in the Central Platte Valley, a growing and thriving neighborhood. The Denver REI Flagship Store is already a multi-modal transportation hub for bike trails, RTD bus routes, walking paths and a Denver B-cycle station, and now carshare.

"Placing an excursion vehicle at REI has tremendous benefits for our members." says Alyssa Alt, eGo CarShare Program Manager. "Not only does it strengthen our existing network and provide carshare to another area of Denver, it also allows us to diversify our fleet and meet the demand for our outdoor enthusiast members." The new location will support the high density of housing in the area. It is also a great link between eGo's current locations in downtown and their location in the Highlands neighborhood.
